Loads take longer to dry
If towels need a second cycle, air isn’t moving through the vent. Lint is the usual cause.
Lint buildup in the dryer vent is a leading cause of house fires. State 48 clears the full vent run, from the back of the dryer to the outside exhaust, so your dryer runs safer and finishes loads faster.
Your lint screen catches most of the lint, but the rest ends up in the vent line, where it builds up load after load. We clean the parts you can’t reach.
The flexible connector behind the dryer, where lint packs in first.
Every foot of the run inside the wall, ceiling or attic, cleaned with a rotary brush and vacuum.
The outside hood and flap, cleared so they open freely and let air out.
The dryer is reconnected to the clean vent and moved back into place.

Any one of these is worth a call. More than one, and the vent is likely badly restricted.

A blocked vent traps heat. The top of the dryer, the clothes or the room itself feel hotter than they should.
Lint that collects near the heating element can scorch. Stop using the dryer and have the vent cleaned.
With the dryer running, the exterior flap should push open. If it stays shut or flutters weakly, the line is restricted.
Lint that escapes into the room or builds up behind the machine is a sign it has nowhere else to go.
Even if the dryer seems fine, a year of loads leaves lint in the line. Annual cleaning is the usual rule of thumb.
In a Phoenix summer, a garage or laundry room is already hot before the dryer starts. A clogged vent pushes the temperature higher and makes the dryer work harder.
Many Valley homes put the laundry on an inside wall or upstairs, far from an outside wall. Long runs with bends collect lint faster than a short, straight vent.
Dryer vent cleaning is part of our air duct service, so it’s easy to do both on one visit and get the whole home’s airflow cleaned at once.
At least once a year for most homes. Large families, homes with pets and homes with long vent runs often need it more often. Clean the lint screen after every load in between.
The lint screen catches most lint, but not all of it. What gets past it builds up inside the vent line, where you can’t reach it without the right brushes and vacuum.
